“I first learned about Crossfit from a friend when I was vacationing in Hawaii. I went to 1 class and was immediately hooked and knew I had to find a place in Munich. I’ve been exercising on my own at home for the past year, and was looking for something more intensive and motivating. I absolutely hate going to a regular gym, I find those places completely boring, intimidating and not motivating at all. So I was a little bit
skeptical that I would like it when signing up with CrossFit Vivamus Institut and agreed to try it once or twice a week. I got addicted after only 2 weeks and since then, I have been coming 4, 5 or even sometimes 6 days a week. I look forward to each and every session, I have NEVER dreaded it! After only a month, I can already see how much stronger/fitter I am. The difference is pretty startling!
Why I like Crossfit:
1. It’s always a different workout every day and it’s always HARD, definitely not for those who like to “take it easy”.
2. I don’t have to think about what to do at the gym, it’s all done for me by the trainers.
3. So much variety in the workouts – from regular weight training, body weight training, gymnastics, etc.
4. I like doing the same workout with other people, we all suffer/celebrate together!
5. Since you see the same people all the time, you get to know them on a more personal level and they’re not just nameless faces like in a regular gym.
6. All or most of the exercises can be adapted to any fitness level, so it is like a customized fitness program.
7. It’s both cardio and strength training all in one and it’s not boring!
Why I like Crossfit Vivamus Institut:
1. Marco and Niki are very friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is very casual.
2. They have classes every day of the week and times that fit my schedule
3. I like the different focuses of the classes – weight training, mobility, gymnastics, etc.
4. Most of the time, it’s not too crowded, so you get more individualized attention.
5. The Loft is a great place to workout, especially when it’s a nice day and we can workout on the terrace.
6. They keep track of my workouts with “Beyond the Whiteboard” and it’s great to see how much I’m improving and can compare myself to others in the gym and others on the site to see where I stand.
